MoCo Moments arrives in Cape Town on 14 November 2016, promising to bring together local mobile focussed communities in real-life events and quick video-updates on YouTube.
The Cape Town event by MoCo Moments takes place in the Watershed at the V&A Waterfront and will host speakers such as Brett StClair (Head of Digital, Barclays), Joana Picq (Jampp) and Arthur Goldstuck (World Wide Worx). Two round-table sessions in between the keynotes provide time to network, discuss and do business, closing the event with a tech playground (see the full program here).
MoCo Moments was launched in Paris in 2015 and the Cape Town event marks its first event outside Europe.
“Without question, mobile is the future, so MoCo is the perfect environment to start conversations and thought leadership,” says James Bayhack, country manager of founding partner CM Telecom in South Africa. “MoCo Moment’s format is unique and also doesn’t come from the position of trying to sell something, which opens people up more and allows them to create the community we want to build.”
“Most events focused on this area are limited to those attending it, so it’s great to have an opportunity to share our thoughts with a wider audience that can’t be at the event itself,” says Arthur Goldstuck, founder of high-tech market research organisation World Wide Worx and speaker at MoCo Moments Cape Town.
MoCo Moments’ coordinator Anneloes Henskens plans to expand MoCo Moments and will soon launch events in Johannesburg, Brussels and Hong Kong.
MoCo Cape Town is sponsored by Directline Holdings, and the MMA South Africa is partner in the Cape Town event.
