Resident Evil 2 Remake

A deadly virus engulfs the residents of Raccoon City in September of 1998, plunging the city into chaos as flesh-eating zombies roam the streets for survivors. An adrenaline rush, gripping storyline, and unimaginable horrors await in the remake of Resident Evil 2.

Twenty years ago, Resident Evil 2 set the standard for survival horror games and became a major factor in the PlayStation’s success. Game producer Capcom has pushed the bar for high-quality gaming with this remake.

New Pathfinder class headlines MapleStory update

World-renowned massively MMORPG (multiplayer online role-playing game) MapleStory has announced that its highly anticipated Explorer Bowman class Pathfinder will be available to players on 26 June, with a pre-creation period available now.

In the game’s update following the conclusion of the Black Mage storyline, players can explore the new Adventure Island events, take on a new theme dungeon, and level up faster with new characters via the Tera Burning Project.

Pathfinder pre-creation has started and allows players to choose their Pathfinder’s features, such as gender and hair colour, before rolling out their characters for play on 26 June. From now until 23 July, players can also enjoy the Tera Burning Project, where one new character per account can gain a total of three levels each time they level up.

Players can now participate in a number of engaging events in Adventure Island, including Adventure Bingo, Maplerunner, Reverse Battle, and more. Through these events, players can work on their Adventurer Tier and collect Adventure Coins to purchase new items in the Adventure Coin Shop.

The update also brings massive improvements to gameplay systems to help players of all levels. These improvements include refining tutorial and job advancement quests, improving rewards for low-level theme dungeons, increasing meso drops in Reboot worlds, as well as lowering quest requirements for 5th Job advancement and improving Star Force success rates and Arcane Symbol improvement costs. Multiple jobs are also getting skill revamps in order to improve their abilities as well as increase consistency across the various jobs. The new theme dungeon, Secret Forest of Elodin, will also be available for players level 30 to 59 to explore.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy glides over to Nintendo Switch and PC

Last year, Spyro the Dragon made his triumphant return in Spyro Reignited Trilogy for Xbox One and PS4. Now, on 3 September, he’s continuing to spread the remaster fire by landing on Nintendo Switch and PC, via Steam.

Making its official Nintendo Switch debut during this year’s Nintendo Direct at E3 in Los Angeles, Spyro Reignited Trilogy will mark the first time all three original Spyro games will be available on a Nintendo console. The trilogy will also mark the first Spyro appearance on a Nintendo console since Skylanders Imaginators in 2016, and the first Spyro-led game on a Nintendo console in more than 11 years. With Nintendo Switch, players can jump, glide, charge and flame their foes as they take on the challenges and adventures from the remaster, both on the go in handheld mode and from the comfort of their homes in TV mode.

The trilogy, which includes Spyro the DragonSpyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, will be available to pre-order starting today via major retailers.

Spyro will also take his first ever flight on PC via Steam, showcasing the dynamic gaming collection in fiery 4K and an uncapped framerate to delight both veteran and new franchise fans.

Immaculately remade from the ground up, Spyro Reignited Trilogy features the nostalgic gameplay that fans enjoyed years ago with over 100 levels, enhanced reward sequences, as well as the beautiful redesigns of Spyro’s hoard of zany dragons and other goofballs (including Sparx the Dragonfly, Hunter, Sheila, Agent 9, and Sgt. Byrd). The trilogy includes enhanced environments, a remastered soundtrack, updated controls, brand-new lighting, and recreated cinematics for added pizzazz in this beloved adventure. Lead developer Toys For Bob is back at it again to bring the Spyro Reignited Trilogy to Nintendo Switch, while the PC version will have the talented developers at Iron Galaxy leading the charge.

The games will be available on the Nintendo Switch and PC on 3 September 2019. The remastered trilogy is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
