Alcatel has announced that its Pop Star fashion smartphone is now available from Woolworths, Truworths, Ackermans, Edgars and Jet stores from a recommended retail price of R1 799.
The 5-inch Pop Star, part of the mobile brand’s Pop series, is the standout in the latest Pop lineup.

All Eyes on Pop Star
Consumers get two interchangeable fashion back covers which are available in Denim and Wood. These also come with matching screen wallpapers.
The attention to design detail continues with the curved back cover, which gives the phone an elegant slimness at the edges, and makes it good to hold. The fully laminated screen offers great clarity even under direct sunlight.
Most-Wanted Features and Apps
Pop Star is available in 3G+ connectivity, and runs on a quad-core processor. It struts an 8 MP rear camera for quality photos and a 5 MP front camera.
What’s more, Pop Star has a QR code on the battery cover that gives users access to the Wallpaper Store app, which offers users a wallpaper matching their back cover — giving users additional ways to personalize their smartphone.
