Nokia 6.2 brings triple cam to mid-range
Nokia has set a new standard by putting a full HDR display with a triple camera system in a mid-range, sub-R4000 smartphone.
HMD Global, maker of Nokia phones, has announced local availability of the Nokia 6.2 on 7 November. The device showcases a high-resolution, colour-accurate PureDisplay and an advanced triple-camera setup powered by AI to optimise the photography experience.
The new handset features always-on 6.3” HDR display at 2280×1080, which is highly-spec’d for a smartphone in this segment. It also features PureDisplay technology powered by a dedicated visual processor that delivers up to one billion shades of colour.
With a combination of AI-features and a powerful triple sensor camera, it lets fans take detailed photos, bokeh portraits and wide-angle shots. The main sensor is 16MP with an f/1.8 aperture and 27mm lens, along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 5MP depth sensor.
With its signature two-day battery life, users can do more on their devices without having to worry about where to find the next charge point. It also stays true to its Nordic heritage, joining timeless craftsmanship and cutting-edge materials to deliver a unique and seamless finish.
Florian Seiche, CEO, HMD Global says: “We are now paving the way for the next phase for Nokia phones and have identified strategic investment areas for driving a high-quality Nokia smartphone experience for our fans, specifically focusing on bringing innovation in the area of 5G, security, imaging and design.
