New tool resolves source code issues

Elli√© Computing has released ECMerge v. 2.3, a programming and business tool that simplifies file, folder, and image comparison and merging. The program’s 3-way merge is ideal for programming teams that need to resolve source code differences that have been worked on by multiple developers.

Developers use ECMerge for managing source code. The software provides a much more powerful programming tool than the typical diff/merge functionality that is built into most programming environments. The multi-threaded engine speeds up the comparison and merging functions. XML comparisons are supported by dynamic filters and converters. ECMerge generates patches and takes the risk out of UNIX patch application and testing. The program includes explorer-style extensions for Linux, Windows, and Mac.
