The camera, dubbed “The Little Giant”, carries a combination of features developed over four generations of X Series mirrorless cameras. This includes enhanced image quality and faster processing speeds using the combination of the latest X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 image processing engine, in a more compact and lightweight body.

Following in the footsteps of the previous generations, it offers the X Series’ dial-based manual controls and is equipped with the Auto Mode Selector lever that allows one to switch fully-automatic shooting mode. This means the camera caters to a broad range of users, from professional photographers to first-time beginners, delivering potentially high-quality pictures.

Great body, awesome imaging

Its compact and lightweight body weighs 383g and offers a retro design, with modern performance, thanks to the use of an upgraded image sensor. It ups the 24.3-megapixel resolution on the previous model to 26.1 megapixels, while including fast high-performance autofocus, made possible with phase detection pixels placed across the entire frame. Its improved sensor and processing engine combine to offer silent, continuous shooting capability of up to 30 frames per second.
