Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set in Ancient Greece during the Golden Age of Athens amidst one of the deadliest conflicts in history, the Peloponnesian War. Playing as either Alexios or Kassandra, an outcast Spartan mercenary, players will embark on an epic journey into a living, systemic open world, where they will uncover the truth about their mysterious pasts and become legendary Greek heroes.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the next step in the transformation of the Assassin’s Creed franchise into an open world RPG where players’ choices and decisions allow them to live their own unique experience.. An all-new interactive dialogue system offers more freedom for players to choose from an array of role-play options that impact each adventure differently, while unfolding an intense story full of unique characters and meaningful objectives. Players will loot, level up and upgrade their weapons, gear and abilities as they charge into massive battles between Sparta and Athens. The return of open world naval combat allows players to explore the open seas, discover uncharted locations, customise their battle ships and recruit their own crew members with unique perks. With an entire country to explore, from Greece’s volcanic mountain ranges to its idyllic white sandy beaches, players will encounter legendary figures, famed statues, and mythological creatures as they experience an ancient world that constantly evolves and reacts to their every decision.

The launch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is just the beginning for players who journey into the glorious world of Ancient Greece and wish to continue progressing with new content. The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey live roadmap plan is the biggest and most ambitious in the franchise, deepening storytelling through its episodic structure. Season Pass owners will access two major storylines with three episodes each while all players will receive free story missions called The Lost Tales of Greece. Players can dive into new episodes as they premiere, or experience the epic adventures in their entirety once all episodes are available. The Season Pass also includes Assassin’s Creed III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered.

As a special bonus, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players with Twitch Prime will receive the Aegean Pirate Pack for free until 5th December. The pack includes a rare armour set, ship skin, pirate crew theme, and a skin for your horse, Phobos.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy introduces players to a fully remastered game collection with a re-imagined cast of characters, animations, environments, new lighting and recreated cinematics—all inHD.  Now fans can explore more than 100 lush environments filled with new detail, that brings the Dragon Realms and Avalar to life . The trilogy is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and the family of Xbox One devices from Microsoft, including the Xbox One X.

South African distributors Megarom provided the followjng information:

In Spyro Reignited Trilogy, lead developer Toys For Bob is giving fans an all scaled-up version of the original three Spyro games that started it all, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, but with a modern-day feel that makes it fresh and fun for today’s player. Adding to the fun, voice actor Tom Kenny is returning to the franchise as the voice of Spyro in all three remastered games. Longtime fans will be treated to Toys For Bob’s reimagined version of the classic soundtracks, in addition to an all-new title-screen theme from original soundtrack composer Stewart Copeland.

Additionally, the new game brings an in-game audio feature that allows players to switch between the original and the newly remastered soundtracks, for those who want a more classic gameplay experience. Players can simply fly in to the “options menu” at any time during gameplay, unleash their preferred nostalgic or scaled-up groove, and glide right back into the Spyro action without losing saved data.

“It’s been a real pleasure to bring back one of most iconic video game characters of all time through the Spyro Reignited Trilogy,” said Paul Yan, Co-Studio Head at Toys For Bob. “We’ve poured everything we’ve got into making sure every detail was done right to deliver a great Spyro experience for fans. We hope players will have as much fun revisiting the Spyro world and characters as we did remastering them.”

In the road up to the official release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, created a first-of-its-kind, life-sized, fire-breathing and talking Spyro Dragon drone. The drone took off from “Stone Hill” castle near New York City, spreading his wings across the U.S. to explore the cities and iconic landscapes that resemble levels and themes from the original Spyro games. As part of the tour, the Spyro drone chased sheep, fired up some BBQ and delivered an early copy of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to fellow O.G. and entertainment icon, Snoop Dogg. Highlights from the Spyro drone’s delivery to Snoop Dogg can be found here.

“Fans have been asking Activision to bring Spyro back for some time now. The response to Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been great thus far, and we’re absolutely thrilled that we’re able to continue to reimagine and reinvigorate some of the most iconic videogames and characters of all time with our remastered experiences,” said Steve Young, Chief Revenue Officer at Activision. “With this year being the 20th anniversary of Spyro, there’s no better time to pay homage to everyone’s favorite purple dragon.”

The Spyro community is invited to geek out and elevate their fandom even further through the elite global partnerships from the Activision Blizzard Consumer Products Group (ABCPG). Collaborations with Funko, Traly Pins, Exquisite Gaming, KidRobot, USAopoly, Trends International, Rubber Road, and Changes have created new avenues for fans to share their love for the return of Spyro, the original roast master. Spyro consumer products across apparel, collectibles, figurines and more are now available at retailers worldwide. Fans can also take advantage of the GameStop exclusive Spyro TOTAKU Collection.

Rivals arrives next month

Electronic Arts has announced that Command & Conquer will launch worldwide on December 4, 2018 for Android and iOS.

This is a fast-paced, real-time strategy (RTS) action game built for players on phones and tablets. Command & Conquer: Rivals will become the next official EA competitive gaming franchise to roll out a complete competitive program, including community tournaments and a championship pro scene.

In Command & Conquer: Rivals, a real-time player versus player (PVP) game, players lead their faction to victory in the war for Tiberium. True to RTS classics, preparation and planning are as pivotal to matches as tactical execution. Unlike games with “drop-and-watch” mechanics, players in Rivals maintain 100% control of their units at all times, adding immense strategy and depth to a fun, frenetic and fair gameplay experience.

“We set out to build an RTS game for mobile players that thrives on head-to-head competition and where strategy and skill matter. With continuous unit control and intense battles where comebacks are possible, Command & Conquer: Rivals delivers this and more,” said Michael Martinez, Redwood Studios GM. “We’ve been thrilled to see the early response from players during soft launch. Player feedback has made the game stronger for our launch in December and we’ll continue to work with the community as we accelerate into esports next year.”

Rivals Champions, a new weekend mode available at launch, is a signature in-game competitive experience inspired by the immensely popular FIFA Ultimate Team Champions in FIFA and will serve as the first step in working with the community to launch a multi-continent esports program in 2019. In this mode, players will go on a run of battles, competing in a unique matchmaking pool – competition is segmented by rank to ensure players of all skill levels can thrive and win. The better they perform, the bigger the rewards. Players can also make a name for themselves atop the Rivals Champions leaderboards and distinguish themselves for higher levels of competition.

Rivals is competitive to its very core,” said Evan Denbaum, Command & Conquer: Rivals Competitive Gaming Commissioner. “We’ve been working non-stop to create the best-possible in-game experiences no matter what your skill level, and Rivals Champions is just the beginning. Most importantly, we’ll be listening to our players and their feedback as they jump in, and we’ll work together with the community to build a full-scale esports program.”

There’s still a chance to join in before launch. Pre-register on Google Play and get the chance to play by visiting https://www.ea.com/games/command-and-conquer/command-and-conquer-rivals. Players who pre-register will also receive a special, limited edition bundle to begin commanding their units, available at worldwide launch.
