SingStar goes Afrikaans

Sony has announced that a new version of SingStar, SingStar Afrikaans Treffers will be available from April. The game will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and 2 platforms and will include tracks from local artists such as Kurt Darren.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced that some of South Africa’s all-time favourite Afrikaans musicians are joining the SingStar stable and coming to PLAYSTATION 3 in the form of SingStar Afrikaans Treffers. Set to launch in April 2011, SingStar Afrikaans Treffers will have fans and music lovers singing along to Kurt Darren, Snotkop and Jack Parrow.

Featuring a collection of new and classic tracks from Platinum selling artists, SingStar Afrikaans Treffers is packed full of those tunes that will get your party started and have you delivering the performance of your life.

Inside everyone there’s a SingStar – Grab your Wireless SingStar Microphones and get your mates together for a harmonious performance of uplifting, chart topping singles from the best artists, the hottest songs and you at the centre of it all. With loads of online extras, including access to tons of top tracks at the SingStore, there’s no excuse not to join in!

The excellent tracklist includes – 30 original Afrikaans tracks on PLAYSTATION 3 with support for high definition music videos plus access to the SingStore (PlayStation 2 includes – 25 original Afrikaans tracks)
