Now Vodacom drops rate to 79c

Vodacom has followed MTN’s lead in dropping its prepaid rate to 79c per minute.

Vodacom has launched Prepaid 79c, a new promotional prepaid price plan offering a call rate of 79c per minute to any network, any time on a per second billing.

When is it available?

The new promotion will run from 01 May up to 14 July 2014 and is available to both new and existing prepaid customers.

How do I get it?

All existing prepaid customers can change to the new price plan by using any of the following free change options:

· 082 1181

· *111*01#

· www.vodacom.co.za

New customers need to activate a Vodacom prepaid starter pack and free change the next day to Prepaid 79c using any of the above free change options. A customer is only allowed one free change daily.

When the promotion expires on 14 July, existing customers will be migrated back to the price plan they were last on. More details on Prepaid 79c are available here.

Vodacom has also launched Chat for 20, a new promotional bundle offering 20 voice minutes for R10 to call any network, anytime. This is an effective rate of 50c per minute.

When is it available?

The new promotion runs from 30 April until 14 July 2014 and is available to all Vodacom prepaid, top up and uChoose customers.

A maximum of seven Chat for 20 bundles can be purchased during the week (Monday to Sunday) between 06:00 and 22:00 and can be used until 23:59 on the day of purchase. Calls will be calculated on a per minute basis for a cumulative period of 20 minutes.

Where do I get it?

To purchase Chat for 20, customers must dial:

· *111#

· Choose promotions

· Choose Chat for 20 option and follow the steps to purchase

Alternatively, customers can also dial *111*20# to go to the Chat for 20 menu to buy or view balances.
