BlackBerry today announced the Classic is South Africa. Its latest handset looks similar to the Bold 9900 but features a range of improvements like a new operating system and a greater variety of apps.

BlackBerry today launched its latest handset, the BlackBerry Classic, in South Africa. The manufacturer describes it as a “no-nonsense smartphone built to meet the needs of productive people who appreciate the speed and accuracy that can be found with a physical QWERTY keyboard”.

Although familiar in appearance, BlackBerry Classic builds on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 experience with:

· 60 percent more screen space

· 50 percent longer battery life

· Greater variety of applications through BlackBerry World and the Amazon Appstore
