Abandon ‚ A thriller directed by Stephan Garghan starring Katie Holmes and Benjamin Bratt. Reviewed by SEAN BACHER

The Story

The pressure of finishing her thesis at a prestigious university and earning a position with a premier consulting firm have Katie Burke (played by Katie Holmes) seeing things. She still hasn’t got over her freshman romance two years earlier with Embry and his mysterious disappearance still haunts her. The trail has grown cold, but detective Wade Handler (played by Benjamin Bratt), a recovering alcoholic enters her life to help piece Embry’s disappearance together. Things however go drastically wrong as Katie falls for Wade just as Embry re-appears.

DVD Features

The Abandon DVD contains Czech, Hungarian and Russian simulcasts. There are also Arabic, Bulgarian, Croatian, Greek, Hindi, Icelandic, Romanian and Turkish subtitles. It plays for 94minutes and is not suitable for viewers under the age of ten.

Special Features

Special features include cast and filmmaker’s biographies, scene selections and 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound support. Various trailers are also available on the DVD.
