TomTom crosses borders

TomTom has launched the TomTom Go Live 1005 World GPS, which features 66 of TomTom’s most popular maps bundled together in one device.

Now globetrotters no longer need to switch and download maps when crossing borders with maps from North America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, Southern Africa and Europe included in the TomTom GO LIVE 1005 WORLD.

Using the GO LIVE 1005 WORLD, travellers also have access to the latest traffic information in South Africa with updates en route every two minutes. A new feature to the TomTom stable is the alternative route viewer function which allows drivers to view an alternative route from their device for even greater control over their journey. Making the most of TomTom HD Traffic, the feature gives an overview of the latest traffic on both routes, allowing you to select which one you prefer.

‚Not only is the GO LIVE 1005 WORLD a daily companion with local LIVE services, but now becomes a necessity when traveling abroad‚ says Daan Henderickx Country Manager for TomTom South Africa. Henderickx adds that the device includes Points of Interest (POI) of each of the countries which helps you find the authentic Bratwurst restaurant in Berlin, Germany or an internationally acclaimed vineyard in California, United States at the touch of a button.
