New GPSs for all driver types
TomTom’s latest GPS devices are said to cater for all market segments. The TomTom XXL sports an extra large display, the TomTom GO is the company’s flagship product and the TomTom Start is designed for users who just want to get from A to B with no hassles.
‚The new TomTom products enrich our offering in South Africa by providing our customers with a varied choice to match their individual preferences and needs,‚ says Joost Jetten, vice president for sales in the Sub Sahara Africa region of TomTom. ‚Frequent drivers may prefer the GO 750 with hands free calling, whereas other drivers may prefer the larger screen of the XXL or the simplicity and personalisation of Start.‚
TomTom Start
This new navigation device represents is easy to use and offers intelligent route planning. Available in four colours, the TomTom Start is the perfect travel companion. The device is lightweight, has a compact 3.5‚ screen and comes with an integrated mount, making the whole navigation package fit into a pocket, small bag or glove compartment.
The simplified menu gives users easy access to the safety camera database and thousands of Points of Interest pre-installed into the device. For further personalisation, users can go to TomTom HOME desktop software to download content, including start-up screens and a range of voices.
TomTom XXL
The new TomTom XXL with a five inch touch screen and a map of Southern Africa is designed to combine optimal routing with an extra large screen. Drivers can now enjoy TomTom’s technologies, including TomTom Map Share, while benefiting from an enhanced view for extra comfort.
TomTom GO 750
The TomTom GO 750 is TomTom’s flagship product which combines TomTom’s routing technologies with and a completely optimised user interface. The TomTom GO 750 has an enhanced speaker, which ensures clear voice instructions and improved hands-free calling. New menus including a frequent destinations menu have been added to calculate a route to a frequently visited destination easier and faster.
