MWC: A Pixi of a tablet from Alcatel OneTouch

Alcatel OneTouch has announced the Pixi 7 tablet, an entry-level Wi-Fi only tablet designed for first-time tablet buyers.

The Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 features the MTK 8117 Chipset, a 1.2GHz Dual Core processor and 512GB (for EMEA) or 1GB of memory (for LATAM). The Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 comes with 4GB internal storage capacity that can be easily expanded up to 32GB via external SD card making it the perfect multimedia companion.

Designed to be compact and light, Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 weighs only 285 grams, specifications that make it one of the lightest 7-inch ULC tablets on the market. It is available in two back colors, Bluish Black and Gun Gray.

Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 is equipped with two cameras: a front 0.3MP camera for video calls and a 0.3MP rear camera. Photos can be quickly uploaded to social networks thanks to the built-in high speed Wi-Fi.

Powered by Android 4.4 (KitKat), Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7, like all Alcatel OneTouch tablets, comes preinstalled with a selection of useful apps for a great out of the box experience. This latest Android OS delivers optimised memory and touchscreen functionality, boosted voice call quality, redesigned Quickoffice and E-mail and a new emoticon keyboard.

Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 is also the ideal TV companion: an Infrared port transforms it into a universal remote control for your TV and Miracast allows you to share content to a TV.

A complete set of optional accessories are available for the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi7 (based on regional availability), including Color Skins, Folio Cases and Bumper Cases.
