SKILLS FOR AFRICA
SAP Skills For Africa was launched in 2012 with the aim of providing digital skills development training to hand-picked graduates, who undergo intense training before filling key job functions within SAP’s customers and partner organisations.
More than 600 graduates have since completed the intense training schedule, adding essential digital skills to organisations in South Africa, Morocco, Kenya and, for the first time in 2018, Nigeria.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE
For nearly 15 years, SAP has been the headline sponsor and a major supporter of South Africa’s First LEGO League, a programme aimed at young students that teaches engineering skills and teamwork through the collaborative creation of problem-solving robots built from LEGO.
Research has proven that First LEGO League participants are more likely to enter into careers in engineering, are more likely to complete their engineering degree, and are more likely to become entrepreneurs.
