Canon promises immersive expo

The first Photo & Video Experience, running at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit from 26 to 28 July 2019, promises to be a hands-on, immersive event.

“Canon’s aim is to inspire and enable photographers to capture, store, print and share their life experiences through the universal language of imagery,” says Michelle Janse van Vuuren, marketing director of Canon South Africa. “We will be showing visitors just how to do that by giving them the opportunity to capture nine different interactive zones through a Canon lens. They can also engage with some of the stars in Canon’s award-winning camera and video product ranges, as well as our inkjet printers.”

In pursuit of the shot

Besides Canon’s wide range of cameras, lenses and video cameras, the revolutionary EOS R System and RF lens collection will be a highlight on the stand at the Photo & Video Experience 2019.  Building on over three decades of EOS innovation, the EOS R System is based on a pioneering lens mount which offers greater creative possibilities. Canon says “it redefines the boundaries of photography and filmmaking”.  Canon’s product experts will also be on hand to help visitors identify the ideal product requirements to develop their photographic skills.

Explore the universal language of imagery

Throughout the duration of the event, visitors have the opportunity to listen to some of the most respected professional photographers in South Africa, who will offer tips on capturing incredible imagery, using different styles and techniques.  The presenters to look out for include Andrew Aveley, Anton and Darryl van Niekerk, Josie Borain, Natalia Arentseva, Steve Castings, and Michael Trucker.

Enjoy your images from capture to print

Canon will also demonstrate its innovative apps, encouraging visitors to start sharing their images, digitally or physically. Canon’s cameras integrate with smart devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi using the free Canon Camera Connect app for iOS and Android. Images and videos can then be downloaded to a smart device, reviewed and posted on social media or shared.

There will also be a range of Canon’s latest PIXMA photo printers on show, allowing visitors to print stunning high-quality images. Canon’s printers use world-class print technology and inks to transform digital image libraries into high-quality prints.

“We are excited to be showcasing our smart imaging products and hope to inspire photographers in their pursuit of the perfect shot. Pushing creative boundaries and championing visual storytelling is what defines Canon and we are constantly reinventing what’s possible in the world of imaging, for consumers and professionals alike,” says Janse van Vuuren.
