Samsung has launched its premium LED Series 9 Smart Monitor, featuring enhanced picture quality and a minimalist design.
‚”Samsung’s new Series 9 Monitor won an Innovation Award at CES 2012 this January. We are sure that with the launch of this product globally, we will see Samsung cement its premium monitor brand image and become a global No.1 monitor brand for six consecutive years,‚” says Mike Van Lier, Business Leader for IT Solutions at Samsung South Africa.
Accurate colour reproduction, clear picture quality and a wealth of features for professional use
Samsung’s Series 9 monitor targets professional graphic designers, photographers as well as general consumers who want to have a professional-level monitor.
With advanced technologies, such as Natural Colour Expert for colour calibration, Samsung drives the performance of its panel to the fullest to deliver accurate colours, allowing consumers to enjoy true-to-life, natural colours. Additionally, at the final production stage, each unit undergoes a thorough colour calibration process unit by unit, and a certificate of colour calibration is provided for users to confirm the monitor’s settings.
Using PLS (Plane Line Switching) panels – the highest-quality panel offering wide viewing angles – the monitor secures 178 degree viewing angles both horizontally and vertically and provides 2560×1440 QHD(quad high-definition) resolution, four times clearer than 720p HD resolution.
This premium monitor also offers a variety of additional features. With MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) technology, users can watch content on a bigger screen by connecting MHL-enabled smartphones with the monitor. Additionally, with its built-in 2-channel high quality stereo speakers also ensure users enjoy a richer sound.
Minimalist design inspired by modern architecture
The Series 9 monitor is made with metallic materials and a front-side crystal clear glass – which exudes transparent, luxurious beauty. By eliminating the line between the bezel and screen, the minimalist design is even further highlighted.
Furthermore, since input ports used for connecting a PC or other peripherals are placed under the stand, users can keep their desk tidy without a hassle of cables. Its tall, aluminium stand is inspired by high-rise skyscrapers, giving both structural balance and sophisticated beauty.
‚”Samsung’s Series 9 monitors are the highest-end, premium monitor, both in picture quality and design and we believe that it certainly is a market differentiator when it comes to the premium monitor space,‚” concludes Van Lier. ‚”This product is another way Samsung is bringing functional, stylish design and innovation together to deliver to the market a product that is superior in performance and that will need the exact requirements of what our local market expects from the brand.‚”
The Samsung Series 9 monitor is exclusively available from Rectron for a recommended retail price of R13 999.00
