Samsung Pay comes to SA

Early Access will be open to all Absa customers in South Africa and will be available on the Samsung  Galaxy S9/S9+, Note 8, S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, A8. The A5/A7 (2017 Edition) will be added subsequently.

Selected customers will be invited to join the early access program over the coming days.

The public should bear in mind they should not register for the service via hyperlinks in email, as these would not be coming from the bank. Absa has stated that it will never contact customers directly via sms or emails to register for Samsung Pay using hyperlinks and attachments provided in the sms or email, as this is the method used by cyber criminals for “phishing”.
