Now eWallet plugs into ATM
FNB has extended its eWallet service to allow users to deposit cash into eWallet at FNB ATMs with automated deposits.
‚”It has always been a key part of our strategy to enhance our cash-in options for eWallet users, both for FNB customers and non-FNB customers. Previously, you could only send money from an FNB account and now FNB ADTs are a convenient alternative, offering instant cash deposits into an eWallet‚” says Yolande van Wyk, CEO of FNB eWallet Solutions.
Non-FNB customers can also use the ADTs to deposit cash into eWallet, provided they have gone through a once-off registration process. If not, they need to take their green bar-coded ID to any FNB EasyPlan branch and follow a simple once off registration process. Thereafter, they will be able to deposit cash into an eWallet. They can then send money to any cellphone, get cash, buy prepaid airtime and electricity and various other transactions, all from their cellphones.
‚”One of our main objectives is to increase the accessibility of eWallet to all South Africans. We believe that the ADT now enhances convenience by allowing cash deposits into eWallet and this will encourage more people to use the service, either for the first time or continued usage. The use of services such as FNB eWallet is increasing in popularity with many consumers, and here at FNB we continue to focus on innovative ways to meet the needs of all eWallet users.‚” says van Wyk.
