Microsoft’s Money 2003 Standard Edition

Microsoft’s Money 2003 Standard is a software package designed for anyone with the need or desire to manage their personal finances. STEVEN CHIABERTA took the product for a test-run, to see if it would help him manage his money any better.

Like any PC software, you need to install the program before you can use it. This is a simple procedure, with the installation wizard guiding you every step of the way. It only takes a couple of minutes to install and you can begin using the program immediately after it’s set up.

Don’t be put off when you start the program up and the first page appears on your screen – it looks a bit daunting and the program does take a bit of getting used to. Once you’re used to it though, the layout and format of functions are logical and you can almost begin to teach yourself, if you have the knack. However, you won’t need to, because it offers you a step-by-step users guide as well as a ‚how to’ video, so you won’t need too many years of computer experience to handle it.

At the risk of sounding like a PR practitioner for Microsoft, I found the software to be the ideal instrument with which to quickly and easily manage my personal finances. I’m pretty sure that you will to. The program promises a lot and it really does deliver.

Essentially no, although I suppose a personal finance-managing tool doesn’t really need to be. It looks at what is necessary to help you manage your finances and it supplies accordingly. The program is functional rather than flashy.

At R499-00 it is on the pricey side. However, if you wait a couple of months the price is sure to drop. Also, considering the amount of money this product is likely to save you in the long run, it’s probably even worth buying it now.
