Google, Gadget, at IT summit
Google’s enterprise head for South Africa and World Wide Worx’s MD will be among the speakers at the IT Leaders Africa Summit in March.
Brett St Clair, Enterprise Country Manager SA for Google, will address the 2014 IT Leaders Africa Summit in March on the benefits of a more empowered workforce.
His keynote on Decentralization and the role of mobile technology in the workplace, will open the event taking place at the Maslow Hotel, Sandton, on 18 and 19 March 2014.
A regular on the speaking circuit, Brett manages the commercial operations for Google Apps as well as Google’s Cloud Solutions. Prior to his current role, he was the Head of Mobile SA for Google.
Featured speakers also include Arthur Goldstuck, MD of World Wide Worx and Riaan van Niekerk, CIO of McGregorBFA. Arthur will take part in a panel to discuss Forecasting IT trends in Africa and the best means of planning for the technology changes ahead. Arthur heads up the World Wide Worx research organisation, leading groundbreaking research into how change is affecting business and presents his insights to audiences across the globe. Arthur is an award-winning writer, analyst and commentator on Internet, mobile and consumer technologies, and is also editor-in-chief of Gadget.
Riaan van Niekerk, CIO of McGregorBFA, will present a keynote on The South African answer to ERPs. Riaan has a wealth of knowledge on the subject with experience at the helm of many an IT project and will pinpoint the challenges that those in charge must recognize when implementing these systems.
Workshop sessions include Q&A time with SAP, Wipro and Airwatch. AirWatch is sending a team of experts to deliver a workshop on Empowering BYOD and Mobile Security in the Enterprise.
