FNB app leads Africa

Earlier this month, FNB’s banking app was rated 6th best in the world and the best in Africa at the bi-annual UX Masterclass conference held it Australia.

The FNB Banking App was ranked as the 6th best banking app in the world and the best in Africa at the bi-annual UX Masterclass conference held in Sydney, Australia on 19 March 2015.

The ranking is based on an international benchmark study that evaluated the service offerings of 40 banking apps from around the world, resulting in a holistic view of the top mobile banking players in the international banking app industry.

The award is gratifying as it shows us we are achieving our primary goals: to make advanced banking technology easy to use and to remove possible customer angst that can arise from using app technology to bank,” says Giuseppe Virgillito, Head of Banking App at FNB.

The FNB Banking App, which is used by 1.2million active devices is one the most popular apps on the South African app stores. At the time of publication, the FNB Banking App was the most downloaded app in the finance category in the Google Play and Apple App Store.
