DStv adds to iOS app

DStv has added new features to its DStv iOS app, allowing premium customers to download selected videos from DStv Catch Up on both iPhones and iPads. Live streaming of major sporting events has also been incorporated into the SuperSport iOS and Android apps.

DStv Catch Up is a video on demand service that is exclusively available to DStv Premium customers, giving them access to a massive catalogue of great DStv entertainment and sport to enjoy, on demand, using a variety of devices including SD PVRS, HD PVRs, the new DStv Explora, iPhone and iPad, and through the DStv website.

Adding downloads as an additional feature for DStv Catch Up on iPads and iPhones gives customers the added convenience of being able to download videos and save them for later, to watch when travelling, commuting on public transport or waiting in a queue.

DStv Catch Up is available, free of charge, to DStv Premium customers. Signup and linking your DStv Premium smartcard number or customer number is required. This can be done via the DStv website as a once-off process.

To access DStv Catch Up on your iPhone/iPad:

– Install the latest version of the DStv App from the Apple iTunes App Store

– Run the app and press the CATCH UP button at the bottom of the app screen

– Sign in with your DStv Connect ID. If you don’t have one yet, sign up at www.DStv.com and remember to link your smartcard in the registration process

– You can now stream a large selection of DStv Catch Up videos in the app: certain videos are also available to download

SuperSport live streaming

With live streaming from SuperSport, DStv Premium customers now have the ability to stream major sporting events, live, via the Internet on the SuperSport website and now, via the new SuperSport app available on iPhones, iPads and Android devices.

Streams are available whether you’re connected to the Internet via a mobile network or a WiFi connection. Sports fans will never miss another moment of those major sporting events, wherever they find themselves.

To access live streaming with SuperSport on iPhone/iPad

– Install the latest version of the SuperSport App from the Apple iTunes App Store or from the Google Play Store

– When you run the app you’ll immediately see all the available video, including what’s currently live and what’s coming up

– Sign in with your DStv Connect ID. If you don’t have one yet, sign up at www.DStv.com and remember to link your smartcard in the registration process

– Press the RED play button

To access live streaming with SuperSport on the web:

– Visit www.supersport.com

– Sign in with your DStv Connect ID. If you don’t have one yet, sign up and remember to link your smartcard in the registration process

– Hover your mouse over VIDEO and click on LIVE
