Dell Streaks in from DCC

As multiple devices become a thing of the past, the future of mobile computing has arrived – the Dell Streak 5, a handheld smartphone is now available from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC).

The Dell Streak 5 handheld device features a smaller form factor and offers better functionality for mobility and convenience – in a more manageable size.

View documents including Word and Excel with ease with the 5-inch display that is larger than a smartphone but smaller than a netbook or tablet PC.

Says Mandy Porter, Dell Business Unit Manager at DCC, “The most notable feature is that this device includes Google’s Android Operating System (OS) which is optimised for Google applications and delivers a funky look and feel. The device also includes free QuickOffice software, providing users with applications such as spreadsheets, document editors, PDF views and Power Point views.””

However, the Dell Streak 5 is not only geared for business users but also adds entertainment to the mix. In addition to being the perfect Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), the Dell Streak 5 is a mobile entertainment, social connection and navigation device. Its widescreen display is optimally designed for mobile web, video and movies, plus its front-and-back cameras can capture photos and videos in 5MP resolution.

Swappable microSD memory cards mean virtually limitless storage for movies, music and pictures – up to 42 movies, 32,000 photos or 16,000 songs on each of your individual 32GB memory cards.

The Dell Streak contains features such as:
