BBM and more for R30
8ta has announced a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) plan which includes BBM, BlackBerry mail, Internet browsing, social networking, access to the BlackBerry App World and a web-based e-mail account for R30.
8ta has announced a BlackBerry social and e-mail plan which is a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) offering. This plan offers, in addition to BBM, BlackBerry mail, internet browser, social networking, and BlackBerry App World, a web-based e-mail account e.g. 8tamail, Gmail or Yahoo mail. The new offering will be available at the nominal cost of R30.00.
This offering is designed to suit a lifestyle that demands real value. Customers will still enjoy the majority of what is offered under the full BIS offering. The main difference is that they may use one additional web-based e-mail account as opposed to 10 web-based e-mail accounts with full BIS.
‚We are dedicated to providing our customers’ real value for money and tailor-made offerings. Being first to market also demonstrates the flexibility in our state of the art systems and network.‚ says Amith Maharaj, Senior Managing Executive of Telkom Mobile.
BIS is an easy-to-use, convenient and low-cost solution that provides users with access to the Internet, personal email accounts (including popular email accounts such as 8tamail, Yahoo! Mail and Gmail), BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) and popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. It also provides access to a wide range of mobile applications on BlackBerry App World.
This offer is available from Sunday the 17th June 2012 at 8ta Flagships Stores and Telkom Direct Stores nationally. BlackBerry customers can dial *180*3*1# to activate the BIS Social & Email subscription.
