Bloodhound gets wireless power

Emcom Wireless, an African radio communications solutions company, has announced a sponsorship agreement with the Bloodhound Project, which aims to break the world land speed record.

Emcom will provide a digital radio communications network to be used during the 1 600 kph World Land Speed Record in 2015 and 2016.

“Emcom’s solution provides us with a no-compromise voice and data solution ideal for our very unusual needs,”” said Richard Noble, Bloodhound project director. “”It ensures robust mobile radio connectivity between all the teams in the desert, even those travelling at 1 600 kph.””

Noble is himself former world land speed record holder, having attained a speed of 633 mph. He was awarded an OBE for his achievement.
