The latest instalment in the Kingdom Hearts series has sold over five million units worldwide.
Square Enix has announced that KINGDOM HEARTS III, the latest mainline entry in the action role-playing game series, has shipped more than five million units globally, both physically and digitally since its 29 January release, making it the fastest selling game in the history of the series.
The shipment and digital sales numbers for the long-awaited instalment in the franchise has been matched with critical acclaim from media across the globe.
In the game, long-time fans and newcomers alike follow the new adventures of Sora, a young Keyblade wielder tasked with protecting the universe from an evil force known as the Heartless. Sora, helped by his loyal companions Donald and Goofy, who are emissaries sent by King Mickey from Disney Castle, will team up with other iconic Disney and Pixar characters in an attempt to defeat the darkness and save the universe.
