Lent is upon us ‚ the time when we sacrifice something we love for 40 Days and 40 Nights. What have you sacrificed? Is it chocolate, beer, meat or wine? Our friend Matt Sullivan played by Josh Hartnett has just made the sacrifice of all sacrifices ‚ he has given up sex for 40 days and 40 nights. For some this might be quite easy, but for Matt it’s anything but that: firstly his entire life revolves around sex and secondly he has just met Erica Sutton (Shannyn Sossman), the girl of his dreams. The bets start to roll as his co-workers and roommate start a website letting people bet as to when they think he will succumb to the clutches chemistry. Will Matt be able to hold out for the full 40 days? More importantly will Erica be able to stand by and wait for the 40 days to run their course before she can build on her relationship with him?

The 40 Days and 40 Nights DVD includes a Mayan translation and subtitles in just about every language that has a word for sex. Its total playing time is 95 minutes and it carries an age restriction of 16.
