Nashua Mobile launches uncapped, unshaped ADSL

Nashua Mobile has launched a set of uncapped and unshaped ADSL products, starting at speeds of 384kbps for R369 including line rental and subject to the signing of a 12-month contract.
Nashua Mobile has launched a set ofnunshaped, uncapped ADSL products that will allow its customers to enjoynunlimited, lightning-quick broadband access without worrying about bumpingntheir heads against a data cap.

The service is perfect for Internet usersnwho want to download media, watch streaming video, play games online or run ansmall office. It is offered in speeds of 384, 1024 and 4096 Kbps and allows twonsimultaneous connections. If used concurrently, the Peak Information Rate (PIR)nwill be halved between the two connections.

Subscribers can enjoy an uncapped andnunshaped basic 384kbps service at R219 for data only or for R369 including thenline rental cost. An uncapped, unshaped 1024kbps line costs R499 for data onlynand R779 for line rental and data, while the 4096kbps service costs R549 forndata only and R949 for line rental and data.*

These prices apply to a 12-month contract.nUsers can also buy an ADSL Billion router for just R523 when they sign up fornthis special offer. All users get a 4GB mailbox, five email addresses, fax tonemail, and virus and spam filtering as value-added services.

With an unshaped ADSL service, NashuanMobile subscribers will be able to enjoy responsive gaming and video streamingnand download files in a flash because all Web services are given equalnpriority.

Most uncapped ADSL services in SouthnAfrica are shaped, which means that email and Web browsing are given prioritynand other services are throttled until congestion on the network has cleared.nIf your YouTube videos take forever to buffer and your files download at ansnail’s pace, you are probably on a shaped connection.
