MTN data price drop now official
MTN’s recently announced reduced mobile Internet bundle rates have now been made permanent, in some cases allowing users to purchase the same amount of data for half of what they would normally pay.
‚”The Internet Bundle rate reduction has proven to be extremely successful with customers, addressing their need to be connected at all times, with the rise of Internet data consumption requirements,” says Brian Gould Gouldie, Chief Marketing Officer at MTN SA. “”We at first extended the data offerings promotion to our customers, but have now decided to make it permanent to provide our customers a bold, new digital world,‚””
These subscription rates now apply:
a. 20MB @R10, was R10 for 10MB
b. 100MB @R29, was R49 for 75MB
c. 300MB @R79, was R149
d. 500MB @99, was R189
e. 1GB @R149, was R289
f. 2GB @R249, was R389
‚””Making these Internet bundles permanent at very affordable rates ensures that we not only continue to deliver a world-class Internet experience to our customers and assist in bridging the digital divide, but also address the important issue of bridging the digital divide,‚”” says Gouldie.
MTN gives extra data during tough times
For the holiday season, MTN is also giving customers extra free data on every Internet bundle purchased. MTN subscribers will for example receive a 1GB extra for buying a 2GB Internet bundle. This limited Summer Internet Bundle Giveback promotion is already available and runs until 31 January 2014.
To load an MTN bundle customers can simply dial *141*2# or download the myMTNza App from their app store. In addition to the promotion, customers can continue to take advantage of MTN’s existing big data sale, which offers reduced prices and additional value.
