At Lenovo Accelerate in Las Vegas at the beginning of May, it unveiled a preview and demo of the world’s first foldable PC. Made for highly mobile, tech-savvy professionals who demand advanced tools, the new foldable PC joins the ThinkPad X1 family. It’s not a phone, tablet, or hybrid; this is a fully-fledged laptop with a foldable screen.
This computer makes it possible to have a large comfortable screen on the go, by utilising the space where a keyboard would be, with a virtual keyboard. According to Lenovo, remote work increased 140% from 2008 to 2016, with more employees taking time-sensitive, media-intensive projects with them everywhere. In the past, a 13.3-inch screen on a laptop demanded that the device itself is 13.3 inches —not so with this single OLED 2K display made in collaboration with LG display. This reduced the size of the computer by half.
