LBS DevZone Day for SA

mapIT will be hosting a DevZone day on 24 February in support of its recently launched Location Based Software (LBS) platform to expose developers to the fundamentals of building LBS environments.

In support of mapIT launching their LBS platform for SA developers, which now includes technologies by global LBS leader and data to support this platform from TomTom Africa, the company will be hosting its DevZone Day on Friday, 24 February in Johannesburg.

The DevZone Day aims to expose developers to the fundamentals of building LBS environments that are optimised for specific verticals, target audiences and needs ‚ delivering maximum business returns.

It will also feature international guests from France, Germany and the USA and morning and afternoon respective topics: Web Maps API and Going Mobile.

Web Maps API will provide attendees with important information on how to build LBS for desktop browsers as well as advanced features such as maps, map overlays, routing, address search and local content.

The Going Mobile session will offer training on how to develop native and mobile LBS applications on several mobile operating systems (OSs) and mobile browers.
