iPod iTouch and Mac OSX Leopard at Apple Week
The new iPod iTouch and the revolutionary Mac OSX Leopard operating system are just two among the many products to be showcased at Apple Week, which opens next week on November 6 at Sandton City’s Fountain Court and runs until Sunday November 11.
Importantly, Apple Week will feature the South African unveiling of the latest Apple operating system ‚ the Mac OS X Leopard, a fitting name for a stealthy, fleet-footed operating system that brings more than 300 new features to users’ fingertips.
From its menu bar to its stunning new dock, Leopard is designed to help users enjoy the time they spend at their computers and get more out of them. Its cat-like qualities are ideal in a rapidly changing world where instinct and intuition are needed to negotiate everyday life.
‚From the Mac in the 1980s to the iPod and iTunes in the new millennium, Apple has always been at the heart of spotting the next trend, grasping its potential and creating exciting tools for business and leisure applications,‚ says Rutger Jan van Spaandonk, Director of Southern African Apple representatives Apple IMC.
‚Apple Week is not just for existing users who love their Macs,‚ van Spaandonk emphasised, ‚it’s open to everyone who wants to explore more about and learn how to use some of the amazing applications.‚
‚Moms, for example, can learn how to scrapbook using iPhoto, kids can explore their budding creativity by writing songs using GarageBand or makng their own movies with iDVD. Business people can find an iPod, for their business trips. There’s an Apple product or application for everyone.‚
