Wonders on the way

Sony has released new details about the line-up of titles to expect for the augmented reality Wonderbook title.

Wonderbook brings to life a thousand stories in one physical book, providing many adventures and experiences to explore.

The first of these new arrivals will be the action packed detective story Diggs Nightcrawler, which follows the journey of a loveable bookworm super-sleuth in his crime-busting quest to restore harmony to the film-noir inspired world of Library City. Help Diggs in his pursuit for justice and find out who really bumped Humpty from his wall in this intriguing tale.

Wonderbook’s launch title, Wonderbook: Book of Spells, brings wizardry to life in your living room, allowing you to cast spells just like a student at Hogwarts. Now try your hand at potion-making with Wonderbook: Book of Potions, the second Wonderbook product to result from Sony’s partnership with Pottermore from J.K. Rowling. You’ll compete for the Golden Cauldron to find out whether you really have what it takes to become a potions champion! Guided by the misanthropic but talented wizard potioneer Zygmunt Budge a brand new character from the imagination of J.K. Rowling, creator of the Harry Potter series you will navigate your way through a mysterious, enchanted garden full of thrilling challenges. Overcome dangerous obstacles by brewing all sorts of magical concoctions using an assortment of tools augmented onto your PlayStation¬ÆMove motion controller, and learn some of the fun-filled histories behind each potion.

As part of a separate collaboration, PlayStation has also teamed up with BBC Worldwide to bring you Wonderbook:Walking with Dinosaurs, a fascinating journey through the prehistoric worlds of the dinosaurs brought to life all around you using the unique augmented reality technology of Wonderbook‚Ñ¢. Explore history’s most awe-inspiring predators like never before and encounter the savage life-and-death struggles of prehistoric times as you interact with the dinosaurs in this truly remarkable experience. In one chapter you’ll also get the chance to meet and learn about some of the exciting new characters featured in the upcoming feature length film, Walking with Dinosaurs: The 3D Movie, out later this year.

All four titles will be available this festive season, plus look out for more exciting Wonderbook details to be announced following the Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Family Day event taking place this summer. For the first time ever, SCEE HQ in London will be opening its doors for a full day of rare behind-the-scenes activities based on the latest and greatest family games PlayStation has to offer!
