The Honor 10 Lite combines the latest smartphone technology with a new standard for smartphone design. It houses hardware seen on some flagship devices, packed into a sleek body using gradient hues, and featuring a bezel-less display. The display has a small camera cutout notch at the top of the phone, and the top speaker is hidden away on the narrow bezel.
Honor has cemented its positioning with strong growth, despite a global industry downturn. According to IDC, the global smartphone market recorded a 3.1% year-over-year decline in shipments in the first three quarters of 2018, but Honor bucked that trend with a 27.1% increase. It achieved a year-on-year (YoY) increase of over 170% in international sales in 2018. Honor ranked second in global online sales volume in 2018, with a 29.4% increase.
Raymond Liu, CEO Honor South Africa, comments: “South Africa has always been a very welcoming market for new product innovation and we are delighted to have launched our latest device, the Honor 10 Lite, in the country… we are sure that the excellent price point and flagship features, will easily become a hit with consumers and help us to stand out from the crowd.”
The Honor 10 Lite is available in South Africa in Vodacom stores at a retail price of R4,599, with contract packages starting from R249 per month for 24 months.
