Superhumans come to Discovery Channel

From 15 March 2011, Discovery Channel (DStv, Channel 121) teams up with comic legend Stan Lee as part of Incredible People Night with a brand new show, Superhumans, that celebrates ordinary people who possess extraordinary abilities and remarkable skills due to their genetic differences.
Stan Lee, the American comic book writer, editor, actor, producer, publisher, television personality, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, is no stranger to knowing what goes into the mix in identifying superheroes. From the X-Men to the Avengers, Spiderman to the Incredible Hulk, Stan’s creations have captured the collective imaginations of fantasy fans the world over for decades, and now he is lending his name to this fascinating series.

Superhumans will travel the globe searching for seemingly normal human beings who possess extraordinary skills that set them apart from the rest of their community. From the man who feels no pain in New York, to the Scottish man who’s dreams tell the future, to the Englishman who has the most elastic skin ever known to man, Stan Lee will find the most mind-numbing and breath-taking feats of human endurance ever caught on camera.

Join Discovery Channel and Stan Lee for this celebration of the weird, the wonderful and the downright bizarre! Reach the limits of physical, mental and spiritual endurance and talents with Superhumans, part of Discovery Channel’s (DStv, Channel 121) Incredible People Night, every Tuesday at 20:00 from 15 March 2011.
