SEACOM lands in CT

SEACOM has launched a point of presence (PoP) in Cape Town, linking the Eastern and Western undersea cable systems. The Teraco CT-1 data centre in Rondebosch provides access to the full suite of SEACOM’s services.

The SEACOM services available from the Cape Town PoP include:

¬∑ SEACOM’s Private Line Service offers customers connectivity through multiple cable systems reaching Africa, Europe and Asia as well as national connectivity to key interconnection points such as Johannesburg, Yzerfontein, Mtunzini and Durban

· Global IP Transit provides customers with access to the Internet through multiple Global Tier 1 providers, a mesh of subsea and terrestrial routes as well as optimised routing to many key African Operators, Service Providers and CDN networks, including the full set South African IP routes.

· African IP Transit provides customers with cost-effective African connectivity available through the SEACOM network.

· Ethernet provides dedicated, transparent, EoMPLS connectivity across the SEACOM network and onwards, through our International Partner Networks.

· Remote Peering provides access to the top European & African Internet Exchange Points and the ability to peer directly, with content providers and networks operators via a single port.
