Samsung has announced the Galaxy Beam I8530 projector smartphone, which merges beam projector capabilities in a smartphone.
The Galaxy Beam has a built-in beam projector that gives users the independence to share content with their colleagues, clients and peers anytime, anywhere. With its ambience mode, the beam helps users customise to their environments and change the mood by radiating any image or video across a room. A smartphone that weighs only 145.3 grams the Galaxy Beam boasts an attractive, highly desirable design with contoured edges, a soft rubberised back grip and extra thin form factor. Through its ultra-thin design the device is optimised for portability, durability and convenience.

Supporting HSPA technology, the Galaxy Beam allows people to share content at twice the speed than they would normally be able to do, with little to no intervals. Additionally, the phone also offers local Wi-Fi connectivity and web-browsing which is ideal for students, where they are able to use these high speed connectivity options to research educational content and share it with their peers through the projection capabilities of the phone ensuring productive learning environments and sharing of knowledge. Furthermore, they are able to capture the best pictures and funniest videos in sparkling colour and clarity to share instantly with their friends, using the devices 5MP camera.
The perfect business tool
Through its projection capabilities the Galaxy Beam enables businessmen to share presentations, spreadsheets and other business related content with colleagues and clients without the fuss of having to plug into a separate projector or having to carry around heavy equipment.
The overhead projector mode supports enlargement and can project durable copy by projecting the images captured by the camera of the phone. The projector is also able to project images at up to 1,300 mm in size at 15 lumens ensuring that the presentation material is not blurred and is presented professionally.
