CES 2015: Hisense kudos for KIDOZ

At CES in Las Vegas last week, appliance leaders Hisense announced a partnership with Israel’s KIDOZ to launch family-friendly smart devices, with South Africa included in the initial roll-out.

KIDOZ, a leading entertainment platform for kids, and Hisense Electric, the world’s 4th largest television brand and a leader in digital television system integration, have announced a partnership to bring KIDOZ technology to Hisense Smart TVs, tablets and smartphones.

The announcement was made on the eve of the International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in Las Vegas, where Hisense last week demonstrated the potential of the partnership.

After success on web and mobile platforms, KIDOZ is expanding its entertainment solution to include Smart TVs, and has partnered with Hisense for a worldwide launch. The family-friendly KIDOZ powered devices will be sold initially in Mexico, South Africa, South America, the Middle East and more.

Smart TV sales are projected to grow 67% within the next two years and reach over 244M units worldwide, according to market research firm Frost & Sullivan. Hisense’s tradition of innovation and cutting-edge products has made it a spearhead of consumer electronics technology, and a leader in the Smart TV space. KIDOZ technology will allow Hisense to bring a safe lean-back experience for families around the globe – delivering personalized, safe and educational content from KIDOZ’ ever-growing library to millions of households.

While mobile usage time among children has tripled over the last two years, the better part of screen time is still spent in front of the TV,” says Gai Havkin, KIDOZ Founder and CEO. “Expanding into Smart TVs was a natural evolution for KIDOZ, as part of our mission to meet kids wherever they are. Partnering with Hisense to launch our Smart TV solution is the perfect match to deliver KIDOZ technology on high-end, innovative devices to millions of families around the world.

Hisense believes that Israel is a key source for innovation and has recently opened a technology office in Israel in cooperation with Exit Group, to scout for technologies that can be integrated into Hisense products.

Hisense is committed to bringing innovation to the global community and is proud to now have a presence in Israel to continue our global reach,” says Stephen Yao, Director of Multimedia Product Development, Hisense International.

Hisense also has production facilities in China, South Africa, Algeria, Egypt and Mexico, with sales offices in North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
