Vodacom bundles LTE for SMEs

Vodacom Business has extended the its BroadBand Connect LTE offering, which gives small businesses high-speed Internet access at an affordable rate.

Vodacom Business has extended its Long Term Evolution (LTE) offering to cater for small businesses with Vodacom Broadband Connect LTE. This service is ideally designed to support companies with up to four employees by providing affordable access to high speed connectivity, in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town at any time.

According to Ermano Quartero, Managing Executive: Products and Services at Vodacom Business, “To thrive in today’s competitive environment, businesses need to be scalable, connected and responsive. Broadband Connect LTE enables small businesses to be Ready Businesses by providing high quality broadband connectivity to increase workforce productivity, improve customer relationships and support collaboration with colleagues, suppliers and partners – the core tenets of a Ready Business.

Broadband Connect LTE is a fixed wireless broadband technology designed to deliver internet access via a Wi-Fi router to personal computers, laptops, tablets and cellphones at speeds up to three times faster than 3G. “Broadband Connect LTE is a game changer when it comes to how small businesses experience the internet,” says Quartero. “Its higher speeds of approximately 9Mbps and lower latency mean a more stable user experience.

With Broadband Connect LTE small businesses benefit from a more robust and secure network that allows for greater up time In addition it bypasses some of the traditional issues presented by ADSL such as cable theft and signal affected by harsh weather conditions.

For cost conscious SME’s Broadband Connect LTE provides affordable internet access from which value added services, such as cloud computing, can bring real business value at an attractive price. It also provides the capability for seamless Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) which results in up to a 30% saving on telephone calls.

Vodacom Broadband Connect LTE is available on various Monthly Allowance Options either a 12 or 24 month contract, these options are included in the table below and includes the router, LTE dongle, SIM card and onsite coupon which will be used to arrange product installation:

Since being the first company to launch LTE to customers in October of 2012, Vodacom has grown its LTE footprint to provide this service to an extensive customer base across Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. Companies can visit {website link} to see Vodacom Business’s LTE coverage map to determine if they are able to access LTE services in their area of business. All devices automatically switch to the Vodacom 3G network when LTE coverage is not available.

To apply, small businesses can visit any Vodacom Business in Retail store in Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town with their company VAT number. Installation is easy as plugging in the router, LTE dongle and SIM card all of which will be delivered to the business’s premises within 48-hours.
