MWC: Huawei updates MateBook line

This week at MWC 2019, Huawei launched the newly updated MateBook X Pro. It shows off all the characteristics that define the flagship notebook: artistic design, and innovative technology.

Combining craftsmanship with technology, it features a metallic unibody with a premium sandblasted finish that gives the exterior a smooth feel. It is equipped with a 13.9-inch 3K Ultra FullView display, at a 91% screen-to-body ratio. It supports 10-point multi-touch and a Finger Gesture Screenshot function to give users a new, more intuitive way to interface with the device.

The laptop is a powerhouse, with a maximum custom specification of 8th Generation Intel Core i7 8565 processor, and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB GDDR5. It also features broadband Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a more powerful Thunderbolt 3 port. The Dolby Atmos Sound System delivers an immersive cinematic experience.

Intelligent interconnectivity is at the heart of this new, “all-scenario experience”. It supports Huawei’s Share 3.0 OneHop, a feature that solves data transmission difficulties between Windows notebooks and Android smartphones. Huawei has also developed a proprietary Clipboard Sharing feature, which lets users share copied content from one device and paste it on another nearby device, sharing one synchronised clipboard.
