Nokia has announced that the high-end Nokia Lumia 900 and entry-level Lumia 610 will be locally available at the end of this month.
The second wave of Nokia Lumia smartphones,nthe flagship Nokia Lumia 900 and the affordable Lumia 610, are expected to landnin South Africa towards the end of June. This brings the number of Lumiansmartphones in South Africa to four with the two new arrivals joining thenalready available Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710.
In addition to the arrival of new devices,nNokia also shared the news that the Lumia 900 will be available first withnoperator MTN, expected in stores on June 28th. In addition to thenLumia flagship, MTN customers will also be able to get their hands on thenaffordable Nokia Lumia 610 as well as the Lumia 710. The device will be broughtnto life through an innovative campaign leveraging Nokia’s exclusive globalnpartnership with Warner Bros, and the forthcoming smash hit The Dark KnightnRises. The partnership will involve various co-branded marketing efforts, bothnonline, in retail and on the Lumia smartphones, and will include chances fornconsumers to buy limited edition Lumia 900 smartphones engraved with the Batmannlogo.
The Nokia Lumia 900 took the world by stormnwhen unveiled globally at January’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas,nemerging with more than eight awards including the sought after ‘Best of CESn2012’. The smartphone features a 4.3 inch ClearBlack AMOLED display for ansuperior touch and viewing experience, is equipped with Nokia’s highestncapacity battery, and a primary camera featuring exclusive Carl Zeiss optics.nIt is also the first Lumia to feature a front-facing camera bringing videoncalling out of the box.
The Lumia 610, which opens up a youngernaudience to the rich social experience Windows Phone provides, rounds off thencomplete Lumia offering. The device is Nokia’s fourth and most affordable Lumiansmartphone, and helps people keep in touch with friends by providing instantnaccess to social networks and email contacts in one place. With andistinctive profile and finely beveled metallic edges, the Nokia Lumia 610ncomes in a variety of distinctive colours including white, cyan, magenta andnblack.
