Simply insert the UMTS/HSUPA SIM card up to 16 users/clients via smart phones or notebooks to share the 3.75G Internet connection through a secure 802.11g wireless network. The device includes a built-in 3G SIM card and a rechargeable battery to provide neater and easier use. The router, powered by the rechargeable battery, provides true mobility without cumbersome cable. Alternative power up connecting to the PC USB port or normal electricity is also possible. With the three power options, the device offers mobile workers extensive flexibility. The device is small enough to fit in a pocket, so Internet connectivity is possible wherever the user go.
Like other 3.5G devices, the DIR-457U works through a mobile operator’s 3G network to provide Internet access.
