8.ta has entered into a partnership with First National Bank which will allow 8.ta airtime to be bought from the bank’s electronic channels such as cellphone banking, online banking and through its ATMs.
South Africa’s fourth mobile operator continues to expand its distribution channels to provide convenience and greater reach to South Africa’s prepaid market.
8¬∑ta has entered into a collaboration with FNB that allows for 8¬∑ta’s airtime to be purchased from the bank’s electronic channels (Cellphone Banking, Online Banking and FNB ATMs).
8¬∑ta’s Managing Executive Amith Maharaj says: ‚8¬∑ta continues to source accessible and convenient channels for its prepaid customers. We keep on exploring potential channels to make the buying of airtime easier for our customers.‚
‚With this collaboration, our customers can now enjoy the convenience of accessing airtime anywhere and anytime of the day or night from as little as R10 up to R1000 and any flexi amount in-between.‚ says FNB. ‚The three channels also allow customers to buy 8¬∑ta airtime for someone else‚ . The recharge is instant and customers still qualify for all 8¬∑ta promotions when purchasing through FNB channels.
To buy 8¬∑ta airtime from Cellphone Banking, customers need to dial *130*321# (where you don’t need airtime to buy airtime) or visit www.fnb.mobi and to buy airtime from Online Banking they simply login at www.fnb.co.za. The 8¬∑ta airtime on ATM’s is available to FNB customers as well as non FNB customers.
8·ta has been working hard to advance its distribution channels and currently has over 80,000 point of sales for its products, including its own six flagship stores.
