Discovery favourites return with all-new episodes: new international hit shows premiere in the most thrilling season of the year

Discovery Channel goes beyond the ordinary, the everyday and the mundane with an adrenaline-fuelled season of its biggest and most famous shows in Life On The Edge Month this September.

Life On The Edge Month premieres on Discovery Channel (DStv channel 121) on Monday, 30th August at 20:00.

From tackling the high seas in all their fury, to surviving against the odds: from escaping disaster with seconds to spare to challenging your worst fears, this is life as you’ve never seen it before ‚ life on the edge.

This hot new season features Discovery viewers’ favourite shows, with all-new episodes that continue the drama, the action and the total suspense audiences have come to expect from these action-packed stalwarts of reality TV.

Ratings winner, Bear Grylls, is back with a brand new series of Ultimate Survival, which once again pushes the mental and physical boundaries of this ex-special forces soldier to breaking point.

The world’s best-loved seafaring captains return with new adventures, crises and tragedies in the latest season of the Emmy Award-winning Deadliest Catch, while a new series of escapades across the seas debuts in Swords: Life on the Line. This anticipated new show follows the lives of New England’s long line fishermen who risk it all to catch swordfish in some of the most dangerous waters on the planet.

Also premiering as part of Life on the Edge Month is the acclaimed new TV series from Bear Grylls, Worst Case Scenario, which sees the survivalist portraying life-threatening situations ‚ such as escaping a high-rise apartment fire, sinking car and multi-storey elevator plunge ‚ and demonstrating exactly how to survive them.
