Jigsaw is back

As South Africans reel from the discovery that a database containing almost every ID number in the country was exposed on the site of a company called Jigsaw, a horror movie of the same name is about to open in cinemas countrywide.

This is not about cyber terror. Jigsaw is is one of the highest grossing Horror franchises of all time, and comes back to cinemas on 27 October 2017. Once again, it presents an intriguing plot that promises to transport audiences through time to when Jigsaw the man once lived.

In the first few minutes of the movie the audience is immediately drawn into the Jigsaw killer’s signature brand of twisted scenarios, which in this instalment is taken to the next level.

As bodies start mysteriously appearing around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise, police become increasingly suspicious. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one suspect: John Kramer, the man known as Jigsaw, who has been dead for ten years.

Directors’ Michael and Peter Spierig do a spectacular job of ensuring the audience is never left bored or withdrawn from the movie. The twin brothers’ – previously known for movies like Predestination (2014), Daybreakers (2009) and Undead (2003), bring to life the gruesome empire of what is known as Saw through the years.
