Fyre: The Greatest Festival That Never Happened

Netflix provides a behind the scenes look at the infamous unravelling of the Fyre music festival. Created by Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule, Fyre was promoted as a luxury music festival on a private island in the Bahamas featuring bikini-clad supermodels, A-List musical performances and posh amenities. Guests arrived to discover the reality was far from the promises.

What was possibly the worst event in Billy McFarland and Ja Rule’s lives and the failed promises that lead up to it can now be streamed in Netflix’s latest documentary, Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.

The film’s director, Chris Smith, details the music festival that was supposed to be a luxury affair for affluent kids, turning into one of the biggest jokes in the history of Twitter.

The documentary is available to stream now on Netflix and features video directly from the festival grounds, as well as first-hand accounts from those who just wanted to have fun.
